PROJECT 100
100 Years Behind Us. The Next Generation Ahead.
In 2029, Rugby Racing Cycling Club celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Project 100 is our way of marking that milestone, not just by looking back at the club's history, but by investing in its future.
At the heart of Project 100 is a simple idea: give young riders the opportunity to race, develop and discover where cycling can take them.
Road racing can be an expensive sport. Race entries, British Cycling licences, travel, kit and equipment can quickly add up, and for young riders starting out, those costs can be enough to hold them back.
We want to change that.
Supporting Young Riders
Project 100 will focus on supporting Under-23 riders coming through Rugby Racing's road racing programme.
Our ambition is to provide financial and practical support that allows young riders to spend less time worrying about the cost of racing and more time doing what they love, riding their bikes and competing.
But Project 100 isn't just about paying race entries.
It's about creating a team, a support network and a pathway into road racing.
Young riders will have the opportunity to learn from more experienced members of Rugby Racing, develop their racing skills and become part of a club that wants to see them succeed.
Building Rugby Racing's Future
Rugby Racing has already begun rebuilding its road racing presence, with riders competing across the region and establishing the club as a growing force in grassroots racing.
Project 100 is about taking that momentum forward.
We want to encourage more members to race, develop young talent and create a strong team culture where riders support one another, from those entering their first Cat 4 race through to riders competing at the highest regional levels.
We also want to bring more racing opportunities to the local area and, where possible, explore the possibility of hosting future road racing events around Rugby.
Why Sunday Riders Cult?
Sunday Riders Cult was created because we love cycling in all its forms, the racing, the suffering, the friendships, the ridiculousness and everything that happens in between.
That's why supporting grassroots cycling is such an important part of what we do.
A percentage of the money generated through Sunday Riders Cult goes back into cycling, helping support riders and projects that we believe can make a genuine difference.
Project 100 is one of those projects.
By buying from Sunday Riders Cult, you're not just buying a T-shirt, hoodie or piece of cycling artwork.
You're helping put money back into the sport we all love.
The Ambition
We don't know exactly where Project 100 will take us.
That's the exciting bit.
Maybe we'll help a young rider discover they have the talent to go much further than they ever imagined. Maybe we'll help someone simply fall in love with racing. Maybe we'll eventually see a rider who started with Project 100 competing at the very highest level.
Whatever happens, we want to give them the opportunity.
100 years of Rugby Racing behind us.
A new generation of riders ahead.
Project 100 starts here.
